Temi:
Khalid, one year old, was injured in the abdomen during a shooting in an area north of Lashkar-Gah, Afghanistan.
He arrived last week and was admitted to our Surgical Centre for War Victims, which admitted 2,442 war-wounded patients in 2017.
Helmand Province remains one of the most dangerous areas in the Country, but even in the capital, Kabul, the situation continues to deteriorate: last year we admitted 3,460 war victims at our hospital there – an increase on 2016.
