Over recent months, we have been working hard to prepare.

Our new search and rescue vessel, Life Support, is en route to the #CentralMediterranean.

Over recent months, we have been working hard to prepare.

The 168-foot ship has been completely repurposed for our humanitarian efforts. Now, Life Support is fitted with a medical clinic for first aid and basic healthcare, observation beds, and new life-saving equipment. The restructured ship can accommodate up to 175 rescued people, in addition to its crew.

An EMERGENCY team is onboard, including a doctor, two nurses, two rescuers and two cultural mediators. Life Support has set sail to save lives.

On its hull, we have painted the words of our founder, Gino Strada: “Human rights must be for all humans, every single one. If not, we should call them privileges.”
