World Children’s DAY 2019

On 20 November 1989, the most widely ever ratified agreement was born: The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.

The protection of children’s rights demands the realisation of a world with freedom, justice and peace.

30 years later, on #WorldChildrensDay, we need answers as to why these common goals have not been fulfilled.

EMERGENCY treats children in its war hospitals every day – victims of unending conflicts.

In Kabul, the most dangerous city in Afghanistan, almost 1,000 children have come to our Surgical Centre this year, more than half of them under the age of 14.

To support children, we must have dialogue and take action.
What does that mean? Well, it depends on every one of us doing our part.
