Partners of the Uganda Project: Enel Green Power
For EMERGENCY’s Centre of Excellence in Paediatric Surgery in Uganda, Enel Green Power provided thin-film photovoltaic modules, produced at its own 3SUN factory in Catania, with a total power of 289.24 kWp. It also built the photovoltaic power system and provided transport and equipment.
The system will provide a continuous supply of electricity, allowing us to transfer from grid energy to solar plant energy without interruptions. It will optimise grid energy consumption, reduce CO2 emissions by minimising use of diesel generators, and save on energy supply costs. The hospital boasts high energy efficiency standards and is a prime example of sustainability and technological excellence.
