We want to introduce you to one of our COVID-19 projects in Milan.
We want to introduce you to one of our COVID-19 projects in Milan. This is Giuseppe, one of our logisticians. He is part of the ‘Reception Centres Project’ team, which is now working to protect the health of some of the most vulnerable people in society.
The team visits facilities that welcome homeless people, migrants, and unaccompanied minors. “When we arrive at these locations”, Giuseppe tell us, “we explain that we’re there to prevent the risk of contagion amongst guests.”
Now more than ever, we can make a difference through our solidarity. We are not alone in this project: the network that welcomes those in need is made up of over 50 facilities, which are managed by a range of organisations. Our part in the project is to share our expertise dealing with epidemics and limiting contagion: monitoring spaces, inspecting sites, teaching protocols on how to manage guests and spaces appropriately, and offering training sessions to staff.
We want to protect vulnerable people. To do so, it is essential to safeguard the facilities and environments where they find refuge and help.
This project is carried out in collaboration with Comune di Milano , thanks to the support of Fondazione di Comunità Milano Onlus , and to the donations collected by #MilanoAiuta.
