Option to work remotely for nine days a month, following a training period.

DESCRIPTION
The Field Operations Department (FOD) is seeking an intern to join the Logistics team, with the aim of contributing to and ensuring the logistical coordination of all projects, both national and international.
The Logistics intern, under the supervision of the manager, will collaborate on the operational management of field projects, support their logistical needs and assist the mission logistics officer in carrying out daily activities.
In order to develop the skills needed to achieve these objectives, the training programme has been designed in two phases: the first will take place at the warehouse and the Milan HQ to provide the intern with general and specific training, followed by a placement in the field on one of our humanitarian projects to put the knowledge acquired in the office into practice and refine skills relevant to the context.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Help draft guidelines aimed at improving the effectiveness and efficiency of on-site logistics processes;
- Compile, analyse and organise monitoring files;
- Manage import/export documentation (pro forma invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin) and shipping procedures, under the supervision of the Shipping Manager;
- Monitor the status of project shipments until delivery and analyse any critical issues;
- Assist with inventory and stock control activities in support of the Rho Fiera Milano logistics hub.

REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Economics, Humanities, Engineering or a related field;
- Good knowledge of English (B2 level);
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel;
- Interest in logistics, non-profit sector and international cooperation
The ideal candidate will also possess strong organisational and planning skills, flexibility and the ability to adapt to dynamic environments, as well as good problem-solving skills to identify, contextualise and overcome unexpected obstacles in the field in a structured manner.
